Might buy these wheels!!

Guys I saw these wheels and wanted to know what think of of them 17 x 7 20 pounds for my Mini. My buddy just bought them for his jetta and they look nuts. They make them 17 x 7 4 x 100 and 18 x 7.5 4 x 100 and 5 x 100 only. I might get them Gunmetal though.

How do i post a pic??

If the photo is on your hard drive:

When you have the text box up to type in a new post, look down. In the "Additional Options" block there is an option to "Attach Files" / "Manage Attachments". Click on that and you can browse around to upload a picture from your hard drive.

If the photo is on the internet:
Find the image, right mouse button click on the image, select Properties. Then look for the url. For example, this smilie has the url https://www.northamericanmotoring.co.../NAMtongue.gif now, put the url between two image tags [*IMG]url[/*IMG] you'll need to also remove the two *

Is this for a show car and street use only or do you want to drive it on the track or do autocross or anything.

If street and show only then either rim size should work OK as long as the wheel offset is not too far out of range. The stock suspension allows for wheel offsets about +37 to 48mm
With a very lowered suspension, you might get rubbing of the tire on the wheel wells so just be prepared to cut away any rubbing areas on the inner wheel lining- it's just plastic.

If for autocross or performance driving then the 17x7 makes more sense since it is lighter and should fit better.

For looks the 18" would be great. Nice wheels.

I think those wheels would look very classy in 18" in silver.
Im not sure if Id be 'sporting' in those wheels though... more of
a dressup looking wheel.
