So I was feeling all good tonight... after a month of complete tear down of the the R53 to swap out the supercharger along with TONS of other things... I thought tonight I could wrap it up and go for a fun test drive. BUT THEN I realize I have these 2 things left and it's freaking me out. I"m almost afraid to ask you guys what they go to if you know...... *hides*

I think they go between the bolts and the front Frame assembly that holds the metal bumper support. I thought they were the oddest things on earth...they also are not an exact fit..the opening is larger than the bolt that passes through them so they can move up, down, left right, etc...very odd design. Maybe someone has a picture of which bolt. It made putting the front metal bumper on a huge annoyance trying to line those up.

Well I said I think...they do look familiar and I did pay particular attention to those odd looking bolt things when I did my radiator fan...this is from memory though.

Yes, they are bolted to the upper crush tubes. No need to remove them...they allow the bumper support/rad support/surround to remain in place when all the bolts/nuts are removed. They make installing the bumper support very easy--no need to hold it in place. Put them back and leave the alone.
