17" SSR Competitions or 16" Panasport FSs?

SSRs are easier to clean and lighter weight, but the Panasports look better. Opinions?

ask yourself do you really need to loose weight? or you just going for looks.... ssrs might be light but i've heard bad stories about their structure...

I have the 17" SSR Comps and have had no problems with them. I am now looking at the New B F Goodrich KDW NT (also know as the KDW2) in 215/45ZR17 to find out if they will fit my S with H-Sport lowering springs and the H-Sport comp rear swaybar.

Anyone using this size tire with the H-sport springs??

I think SSR Comps would look really cool on a Cavalier.

Between 17" SSR and 16" Panasports -> Panasports. Mainly because I'm not keen on how 17" wheels look on a MINI.

But for pure performance, 16" SSR's would be killer (and even lighter).

I have the same tire size on my 17" SSR Comps. running the same tire sizes with Kumho MXs. They work just fine with the H-sport springs.

Not for the Cavalier silly

They'll be for a BRG or HB white roof MINI Cooper S with driving lights and chrome grille and chrome mirror caps...

I think the Panasports would look awesome on the BRG, like a classic Cooper racer.

I do like the look of 17" wheels, but the FSs are only made up to 16"

there are a million rims that look better than the SSR's. i got mine for performance not looks. unless you are a racer, get rims that appeal to the eye.

What sort of stuff have you heard or have experience with concerning the SSR's? I have SSR GT1's and I'm pretty sure they use the same manufacturing process.Thanks.

SSR comps 16's all the way! pictures do not do justice. My
car looks 10x better in person. On the mini's, Comp 16's look like 17's.
imho, 17's reveal too much brake rotor to wheel rim gap.

I have 2 sets of Comps and also used IntegralA2's for over 6 years on
my previous car. Not once have I EVER encountered any issues with SSR
wheels. Need to remember wheels are service items...meaning they will
wear and need to be replaced someday.

I say go for the classic look, but then I'm probably a little biased...

17" all the way. 16" wheels if all you care about is performance.
