Need help with Lug Adapter

I bought my 2009, MCS JCW about a year ago. It had aftermarket wheels on it and a special adapter to remove the lugs. A couple weeks ago I was working on changing them over to the EOM wheels and Blizzaks in preparation for winter. Well, I boogered up my adapter due to the space being so tight on the aftermarket wheels. So now I have 3 of the 4 wheels replaced with the OEM/Blizzak combo. I have searched the internet, went to the Mini & Volvo/VW Dealer (because it looks like a VW adapter), went to Big O Tires, and a couple local tire shops, and have ordered various adapters that do not work. Big O Tires says they can do it but it'll take a couple hours of labor to try and bust them out. Or they can use their remover tool that will completely trash the wheels.

It has 10-splines on the business end. On the opposite end it has "10.9" stamped on it. Hopefully the attached pictures will help describe it.

If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated

I'm guessing the spline end kits OK but the 'lug' end is messed up .. rounded?

I'd weld a socket onto the messed up end . . . even if you need need to grind off some of the messed up end, it will work.

Welding a socket on it worked, thanks for the idea! Had to do a little dremel work on the spline end but it worked.

Thanks!
