+1 , They have a two prong socket and they clip into the pad then clip along the brake lines.

odds are when you see the light only one, front or rear tripped .... usually fronts wear much faster than rears (but there are exceptions)
So when the light comes on (assuming your sensor has not been bypassed) you want to LOOK and see what you actually need to change.

Others have already told you what to buy, and where sensors are.
Something else to consider - if you are diligent about inspecting pads wear, or swap them out frequently for autoX/DE duty (and thus inspect their consumption rate with your own eyes regularly), the sensors become both irrelevant and a nuisance.
If the above description applies to you, you can just short circuit the sensors (solder them or twist two ends tightly together, then insulate), and tie them to the strut towers and out of the way.
At least that's what I eventually ended up doing on all my cars.
