Justin:

If you look in the "Show Me Your Wheels!" thread you will see several members who are using the ProRace 1s (in white and anthracite).

I recently saw a pure silver MCS with the anthracite (black?) ProRace 2s - looked pretty hot!

Yeah i want the anthracite for my Dark silver and white top. ITs just SICK lookin.

BTW is anthracite BLACK or Like a GUNMETAL? IM not real keen on wheel colors.

I went to edge racing and found these. Are they the real team dynamic wheels? and is this a good place to buy the wheels? http://www.edgeracing.com/2004/Mini/...all)/wheel/94/

So far they are the cheapest i have found. IF anyone know a cheaper place or a place that will price match that please let me know.

You mean these? Mine's Pro Race 1, black wheels:

Anthracite is not black. It is a dark cool grey. The wheel from Edgeracing is Racing Dynamics. There was a two month national back order but all the dealers should have them in stock until they run out again

They're satin black. They refer to them as flat black. Looks the same clean or dirty

Got them through a local Discount Tire. They ordered them for me around $155 a piece.

They appear to be anthracite to me. If it were black, the wheel would almost disappear at that distance.

Well...I'm in the middle of trying to resolve my Unichip's issue. Seem to be getting terrible milage for some reason.

Have you seen my exhaust heat shield?

That's right, I read about your post on the poor gas milage.
Probably received the wrong map in there? I sold my Unichip;
it was running great, but not having a local DASTEK tuner
really limited tunability. I am trying to wireup a SAFC...would
you have a copy of the 03MCS ECU pinouts by any chance?

I saw your exhaust shield on another post somewhere. Nice job.
My Milltek doesn't get so hot that my aero bumper would melt...the
tips sit about 8-10mm from the cutout. Perhaps if I start sporting
a pulley or run roadcourse this may change...no such plans yet
though.

Someone posted the same question on Mini2 a while ago - never got a response. I saw one parked at the Oakland Airport a while ago and they looked great (pure silver w/black or anthracite).

I love my flat black wheels - both my street wheels and my track wheels are flat black, and it's simply amazing what comes off them when you wash them even though you couldn't tell they were dirty beforehand...

MSFITOY - did you make these MX's pretty yourself, or are you buying them that way? I have never seen a white letter MX.

When i was younger we use to buy a special paint pen from the hoby shop to paint our wheels like that. Very easy to do.

He did it himself. They look pretty nifty, huh? He actually mentioned that he would work at minimum wage in your warehouse, coloring in the pretty little letters on all your tires....

Seriously, I love the look of them!

Ken, I'm don't know what 03MCS ECU pinouts are Can't know everything I guess

Alex, I used Polymer based whitewall paint. Doesn't really stay white But that's ok...they end up as antique, aged white after a few drives. Much more subtle than the images. Wish tire manufacturers would provide colored letterings as an option. They look great with black wheels Kinda anti-wheel, pro-tire look. When they get rolling, the wheels dissappear and all that everyone sees is a 24 inch whirling ring Sure gets more attention now than with my other set of CP8-R BLING wheels...easier to clean too

How bad is your mileage with UNICHIP ??

Hey MSFITOY,

I don't want to derail this thread, but your PM inbox is full.

I've recently installed the Unichip, and while I won't say that my mileage is horrible, I have noticed that it is lower than before. I can attribute some of the lower mileage to my increased tendencies to go WOT more often.

I also got the 15% pulley installed at the same time.

I've read in past posts that most people have noted improved mileage, but mine is definitely not improved.

Another contributing factor is that I'm running the B map (more aggressive tuning if I"m not mistaken) and maybe this is having some effect.

Overall, I've noted a 10% drop in MPG. How bad is your mileage with the Unichip ?

Erick
