All Season Tire Advice

Hi everyone. I am looking at putting JCW R112 (17") Wheels on my '12 MCS.
Was hoping to get some additional tire suggestions and advice.
I am looking for an all season tire, and one that works with my spirited driving style. (So ultra high performance I guess?) I am a bit concerned about damaging the tire/wheels due to some rough roads around me.

Any advice would be excellent!

What suspension do you have? Stock MCS? JCW? Any plans to lower the suspension?

How bad are the roads? Full of potholes?

Do you want ride comfort or longer treadlife to be more important than handling? If so, then Ultra High Performance All Season or High Performance All Season would be OK.

Summer tires would be OK unless you get cold weather less than 38 degrees or any snow. If you have winter tires to switch to then summer tires for warm weather only is OK.

For more comfort and less risk of damage to wheels then-

215/45-17 is a common and good size but it's taller than OEM tire diameter so it's best suited for Stock suspension or JCW suspension.

If you want to drop your suspension then 205/45-17 will give you more clearance.

In Ultra High Performance All Season and 215/45-17:

Any of the top 5 listed are fine for street use. Continental ExtremeContact DWS is a very popular choice for general driving but it doesn't have as crisp handling in favor or better wet handling and more ride comfort. Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S is good for dry handling and ride comfort in favor of use in snow.

I have found the Michelin pilot as/3 are a good non run flat for both spirited driving and all weather conditions, from foot deep snow, to roads washed out in water, to clean hot sticky Tarmac.
