Toyo Proxes 4

I got em
I've been running the Proxie 4's for about 10,000 miles so far. Not a single complaint. Had some rain, and they did fine, will find out how they do in snow this winter. Rotated at about 6000 miles, so far are showing no wear. They seem to stick better than the stock goodyear runflats. I'd get them again without question. Think I paid a hair over $600 mounted & balanced etc.

i have the 16' wheels on my S and ran the runflats until they wore out. i then mounted 205/50/16 proxes4's. initially i was disappointed in their turn in response and overall grip. it also had the scary tendency to oversteer in highspeed turns....eeeek. the ride quality was greatly improved, however. after about 500 to 1000 miles, the proxes4's were gripping much better, but the turn in is still not as crisp as before. this is most likely due to the softer sidewall of a non-runflat tire. would i go back to dunlop runflats? NEVER! you get used to the behavior and compensate unconsciously. and with the 100% better ride and noise, they are well worth it. oh, and the oversteer thing slowly went away as they wore in. i decided on these tires because i don't like slowing down when it rains and i do get occasional snow. otherwise i would have gotten all out summer performance tires. and since you'd be using the 17's with the shorter sidewall, turn in response is going to be better for you anyway. to sumarize: me likey!
