Brake Issues on R56
I have an 07 R56 with 60K miles on it. Just recently the passenger front tire after driving it for a while the brakes will stick on it. I replaced the caliper on it hoping it would fix it, but it hasn't. I am thinking its the brake line, but just noticed my driver rear brake had some smoke coming from it as well. Is it possible Ive got 2 brake lines went bad at the same time or could it be something else?

Did you bled the brakes properly ? Bleeding makes a big difference. The brakes on the Gen 2 MINis will stick on the sliders if dirt or salt gets under the boot. What were they stuck from. Do you have a corroded hard brake line ? Need pics

Ah, bad main seal for the piston. All I can think of it that the lines are corroded from salt or damage from road debris, other then air in the system. Are you bleeding all four ? Make sure you stop to refill the master tank . Start furthest away from the master.

ABS module can go bad, kind of rare though. I would get a quote from an indy shop, they will have to bled the system with a brake bleeder tool and then a tool that can pulse the brakes and get the parts online.
Or the repair kit for much less , but sounds like they want to replace the whole unit.
