Clarifying a Wheel & Tire Setup
I want to make sure this wheel and tire setup will fit before I order anything. Has anyone run anything similar?
A friend of mine has a similar setup on his R53 but I wasn't sure if the clearances were any different.
I have an 09 MCS, stock suspension for now but it will be lowered in the spring. I don't mind using spacers if needed.
Wheels: 15x8 et36
Tires: R888 225/45/15
TIA

It might work but no guarantee...

The R56 S models accept a minimum of 16" wheels because of the brake size, at least that's what I thought. You'd probably need some sort of modification to get them to fit

Which 15x8 wheel are you considering?
The only way to get a 15x8" wheel to fit over the R56 front brake caliper is to find the right inner wheel dimensions for sufficient clearance (search and locate owners that have this setup) or use a front wheel spacer depending on the inner wheel dimensions and where the rubbing is.
Off hand I don't think it will work. It will work for an R53 with standard front brake calipers, not with JCW front brakes. For the R53 there will be some rubbing on the rear lower trailing arm so a thin 3mm wheel spacer will work for clearance. No spacer needed for the front to fit OK.
