15" Wheels that clear 11.75" Wilwood BBK
As the title states, I'm toying around with the idea of running 15" wheels that clear the Wilwood 11.75" big brake kit. I've searched throughout a few Mini forums (including NAM) and have yet to find first hand experience on wheels that are still available new that clear the Wilwood kit. Is this a worthy venture, or should I just stick with my 17" wheels?
I'm also curious to hear from those who have run both 15" and 17" wheels on the track and the differences they observed.
Open to any and all recommendations. Thanks in advance!

Shameless self plug but it bears worth mentioning as many new readers don't know.
TCE offers a custom 11.75" front kit for the MINI you won't get anywhere else. The TCE version gets rid of the standard .81 rotor and swaps it for a 1" monster. (ok, .980 to be exact)
This HD version has proven very effective, if not outright necessary, on most 15" wheel builds. Those with fully gutted cars can sometimes keep that lighter rotor under them but the majority of dual purpose owners carry more weight and you'll soon be replacing the standard spec rotor. The 1" rotor adds significant mass to the build and serves as a greater heat sink. That becomes crucial on the long track days and high temps generated with sticky rubber and race compound pads.
TCE has offered, and sold many, this kit for nearly 15 years and many readers here have proven their value over and over. Just ask around. The custom TCE/Wilwood 1" kit will run you $1087 plus shipping and build time is about 2wks in general. The cost includes inbound shipping to TCE, conversion work, ss flex lines, BP20 (not a race pad) and all the normal kit parts found in the Wilwood factory kit.
*These kits fit all 4 lug models.

See TCE front brake kit
Plus 1 or 2 option (brake pads differ)
Note 11.75" is for 15" wheels

Thanks, I buzzed by the forum this morning and missed this. Got a notification just now....
Yes either of the factory Wilwood kits can be 'super sized' to the 1" rotor app. But as noted only the 11.8" format will fit inside a 15" wheel.
Sold quite a few of them here so I'm sure there are images and comments. In short it's about the best you'll do with a 15" wheel.
