New 5zigen FN01r-c wheels!
But only 3 of them for the moment...UPS required a signature, but I wasn't at home, so they left only 3 and will return on monday with the 4th. Bummer for me as I would have loved to put them on this weekend...
Great looking wheels, will make my car look that much cooler...
17x7 5Zigen fn01r-c wheels (15-16lbs each) and Yoko Es-100 215/40/17.
I'll post pics when I get them on, but in the meantime...
Here's the car it's going on...
...and the new wheels!

Yeeah!! But the problem is the pirelli runflats are worn so much that they are actually smaller in diameter than the 215/40's... (45k miles on them!)
I thought of that, but that would be kinda strange.
Monday or Tues morning I'll do the swap...for now I just get to look at them...
...and I will post pics becuase I think it's gonna look sweet! My licence plate says EVL MINI, and I'm trying to make it more evil I hate it when people say "what a cute car!"

Oh man...I love those rims. I have a CPR/B Cooper S as well and I'm looking at black or gumtetal wheels for the spring. I would love to see pics after you install them. Where did you get these?
I'm also interested in how the ride is with the shorter profile tire. I assume these are NOT run-flats.

They weigh 36-37 lbs each wheel/tire on my bathroom scale. I'll weigh one of the s-heavys with runflats when I get it off for reference.
It's nice to know they are BBK friendly. I already have some racingbrake drilled/slotted rotors w/Hawk pads ready to install in the stock size for now.... But a BBK may come in the future though...
The Yoko ES-100's are not run-flats, and I assume the ride will be much better. Like I mentioned, the runflats are worn to the point that now they are actually smaller in diameter than the new 215/40's. So it will almost be like going to a higher profile tire...but not really...
I originally ordered from edgeracing, but they were back ordered, so I got them from e-wheelz.com. Their sales people are not too great in the communication department, but I'm getting what I wanted so that's what counts. Pics to come later...

I have plans to paint the calipers when I install my new racingbrake drilled/slotted rotors I got from Pilo.
BTW, the runflats weigh 47lbs on my bathroom scale, for a net loss of 10lbs per wheel. I was a little concerned to see the lugnuts only going in to the hub about 12-15mm or so...seems like they should be longer. (my old 914 had pretty long lugs) But compared to the stock s-heavy's they go into the hub about the same...I used metal hubcentric rings I got from discount tire. I'll see today if they have a shimmy or vibration in them...
I'll also get a better pic sometime soon.

Well, I made it to work (30miles). Here's the initial view...I would say it rides better than the runflats, even with the lower profile, but you feel some more of the freeway joints. Turn in is better (but the tires aren't broken in yet). Tramlining is very very minimal on the grooved freeway. Much better than the new runflats. Stability is much better than my way worn out runflats...they used to change direction at will, and now going over straight grooves the ride is smooth, straight, and stable as ever.
NO vibrations at all...I would say I am a VERY happy camper.
Next to do the rotors and calipers.
Oh, and that's *MR.* evl mini....Buahahhahahh!!!
