Like, how rural are we talking about? Roads not being plowed? Tractor only roads? I've taken my lowered Clubman down some sketchy seasonal roads without issue...

Some roads not plowed, dirt and rutted roads.
we in Western Massachusetts. And this car is being driven mainly by a not very experienced driver.
so we taking a view ‘better safe than sorry!’.
Most people here switch to winter tires. And many have plows attached to the front of their pickup in the winter.
