MCS - non-flats and emergency flat preparation

MCS - non-flats and emergency flat preparation
I'm curious what precautions other MCS drivers with non-runflats have taken with respect to spares or patch repair kits. I'd never had a flat in 15 yrs of driving until this weekend, fortunately we were in my wife's car which has a full sized spare -- were it in the MCS, we'd have been in a bind... Any thoughts, recommendations from others, Tire Rack??
I found a Slime spare kit on Amazon -- any reason something like this wouldn't be a good idea?

One thing I have never seen mentioned about this is:
I have had runflats which I dumped early on for Yokohama AVS ES100s and then went to BFG G-Force and then to BFG G-Force again. OK, both of these are directional tires so if I carried a spare wouldn't I need TWO, one for each side?
And like mentioned above 15 years with no flat I haven't had a flat since before most of you were born (back in the 50s).

Even though your spare tires are designed as "directional", they will still roll just fine in the opposite direction until you can get the flat one fixed or replaced.
They are just designed to perform best (and produce the least amount of road noise) in one direction, but one put on backwards will certainly be safer and perform better than any small emergency donut spare.
I also carry an old directional runflat as my spare tire.

For the sake of space, I went with the MINI Motoring kit from MINIMania. It fits nicely in the side space in the boot, so no loss of precious storage.
Probably similar to the slime kit you're talking about.
Thought about getting a Cooper spare from the dealer, but didn't want something that big unsecured in the boot.

Flat Fix
I carry a small air compressor ($20), a can of fix a flat and a puncture repair kit, along with a MINI jack and a lug wrench. It all fits in a small zippered bag, and I figure I am good till atleast the next repair shop.
On long trips (over 100 miles) I carry a spare 17" with a runflat tire that fits beautifully standing up in the trunk....backseats are then used for luggage!
