Nitto NT555 vs. Pirelli PZero Neros
I have finally decided to go with the stock R90s not only for the look but because they are covered by my dealer's wheel warranty, that I purchased.
NOW, I'm trying to find a GOOD high performance summer tire that works well dry but also in wet conditions. I have picked out these two tires ^. I have a friend who has Nitto Gens on his civic and loves them. I would just go for those but father said he is unsure about the Nitto brand, plus I have an in with Tire Rack (discount), and they don't sell Nittos. I am just trying to find out which of these tires is the best for the money, and what that handles the best.
What is your opinion of these two?
Are there any other tires I should think about?
Thanks
Mikey
BTW I ALSO WANTED A TIRE THAT MEASURES 40-45(wall height), BUT LOOKS VERY LOW PROFILE!

I would recommend at least ES100's, ParadaSpec2's, or upgrade to
GS-D3's. The S03's are probably too darn heavy to use on your heavy
R90's. I know cause the R90's are stacked up in my garage.

personally the pzero nero is a great tire. just a bit pricey compared to the other tires out on the market. Pirelli tires are OE tires for many tire high end cars, yea that doesnt make them good tires. They are more agresive looking than most tires. Im getting my pzeros on saturday!! i cant wait to put them on my 18's

I've got P Zeros on my MCS w/18s LOVE Them!
also Falcon on my MC w/17s no complaints there either
The Falcon was rated #1 and seem to be holding up well in all conditions.
I think the tire depends on how you drive and what you are looking for, I personally hated the ride with run flats so that was a major concern. I had Parada Spec IIs on the 18s and HATED them, loud, rode rough and if their was even the faintest bit of moisture on the road they were like slicks.
I drive agressivly but not to the extreme, if I'm going to do that, I'll put on track tires and go go Mid-Ohio

woh, I stirred it up a little bit.
I had PZero's on my older car (recommended by my boss back then
who used them on his Volvo S40?) and they were not grippy vs
the SP8000's I was using back then. 65-70F, dry canyon roads.
Once above 85F under the sun they started to grip, but only
comparable to SP9000's at best imo.
The NT555's were suppose to be grippier than their NT501's....
but just as unpredictable through the turns as the NT501's were.
very dangerous in the cayons especially in cool damp mornings...
almost spun out into a wall of rock. They grip grip grip then suddenly
BREAK!

Pzero neros
I have PZero Neros on my Audi TT 225, and they have been great tires. I have some susp. mods on the TT, and the pirellis worked every bit as well as the Michelin pilots they replaced for any handling category on the street, and were MUCH quieter. Keep in mind they're an all season hi-perf. tire, and probably won't have the absolute grip of a pure summer tire. Can't comment on the Nittos . . .

Only bad thing is it won't last forever. It will perform well for street and spirited driving events.
Talk to Alex@tirerack or your contact for more info. No problems with it fitting the R90 rim. The load rating of the 215/40-17 is a bit low but if you have just one or two people in your car you should be OK- don't over load it.
The 40 series sidewall is stiffer and be a little harsher but have good cornering.
This is a much better tire than the Yokohama AVS ES100s.
