Okay, my review of the JCW Sport Brake Kit is now up on Motoringfile if anyone's interested in reading it. Here's the link:

It convinced me to sign up on the MINI2 JCW brakes group buy
One thing though...can you really feel the extra force that that larger caliper piston is now exerting on the pads/rotors?
Cheers,

Hi Henry,
I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the review. I'm sure that you'll be happy with your JCW brakes. I know that I am VERY happy with mine. BTW, are you in the UK? I was under the impression that the group buy on MINI2 was only for folks over in the UK. No?
As for the feeling of the brakes... What you end up feeling is that it takes significantly less pedal force to achieve the same stopping power as the stock brakes do. Thus, you don't have to push down on the brake pedal near as hard to stop the car in the same amount of distance. The pedal just feels better (i.e. smother and more responsive) and there's plenty of stopping power for those panic stops that might arise.
Take care...
EDIT: D'oh! I just saw that you are indeed in the UK. My bad.
