Yoko ES100's on SSR Comp 17
I currently have a set of SSR Comps in 17" which I believe are 17"x 7.5." On these I have the Yoko ES100 tires. (205/45/17) They have been a good tire to me except one has had 3 different punctures and despite getting it patched, it now has a slow leak. Now upon playing with the tire, I noticed it says to not mount on a 7.5" wheel....
So I have 2 questions, is it ok to have these tires on my 17x7.5 SSR Comps? (Got them both from tire rack installed) And what should I do about the slow leaker, do I try and get it patched or replace the tire? If I replace the tire can I get away with just replacing on or should I do all 4?

Yes, SSR Comps are 17x7.5. I had Yoko ES100s in 215/40ZR-17 on mine with no problem other than they wore out to fast (couldn't be my driving could it ). No problem and will probably go back to them next set of tires (set #4 -- hey I've got over 60,000 miles).
Question #2...leak? where ? where the patch is or at the rim?
I dont think Tire Rack would have sold them to you, mounted them, and shipped them if they were not right.

Where does it say not to mount on a 7.5" wheel? On the tire sidewall?
Normally 205/45-17 tires will mount on rims 6.5 to 7.5" wide. I would think the ES100 should be fine with the SSR comps.
Replacement ES100 in that size is $99 at tirerack.com (talk to alex).
It makes sense to replace the one tire if you have enough tread left on the other three. If not you can replace them in pairs, keep the two with the best tread and replace two but keep the one with low tread as an unmounted spare tire in case of punctures.
Could the leak be coming from the valve?

It says do not mount on 7.5" wheel on the sidewall of the tire.
Also the leak I think is from a bad plug because I've had 3 different punctures (screws) in the tire plugged. I don't think one of them took too well.
The tires are fairly new and only went through one summer. (I have seperate wheels/tires for winter) All three of the other tires seem fine, I was just a little worried when I read the warning.

However every tire has a production date on the side wall.
Following the DOT on the sidewall you'll find a four digit number such as
2404 which means the tire was made on the 24th week of 2004.

Tire warranties are usually four years from date of purchase or five years from the week of manufacture.
When to replace
