What is the best track-dedicated brake pad?
Looking for opinions on the best track use pads for use on stock calipers and brakes (track-only pads are fine -- I'm willing to install and remove them at track events). Looking for pads with best stopping ability, least overheating and longest possible life. I've used the Ferrodo DS2500s (good) and DS3000s (better) - they are very good but I'm not getting more than 1 or 2 track days out of them.
Opinions and experiences are welcomed.

i've been using the carbotec XL 10's up front and XL 8's in the back. my first set lasted a while almost 6 drivng school DAYS. my next new set is almost gone after two really hard days. i'd say right at 50%. i'd be afraid to try and get more than a day out of them. i did just get a front Big Brake kit due to this. first track event with these will be july 2-3.

It's a carbotech XP, not XL. Pad longevity is usually highly dependent on the driver. Two people in identical cars can often see very different wear rates.
Anyway, I would go with one of the Carbotech pads... XP or Panther+ or Cobalt's SpecVR, depending on what my goals were.
