I've been digging those wheels too, but I would only look in 17s. They look heavy- Maybe around 20 lbs for the 17in, and down 2 lbs for the 16s, and maybe another 2 to 15s if they're available and the same width.

They have a nice classic Mini look, like the minilites (or superlites) but WITHOUT the best part- THE LIP! If I could get some 17s with the spoke and lip style of the old ones AND make them fit with the offset, it would be the most kick-a** setup. Like these-

or these:

...damn you, offset...

No problem... just install a big-*** aftermarket fender flare. (just like you had to do on the classic)... and make them functional, unlike the stock ones.

Those really are nice looking. So what is the offset for a 16 ? Or a 17 ?

The offset is within the MINI's limits, probably 40 or 42.

Rally- Who makes a flare kit? I've seen one on Moss, but it does not look like what i'm looking for- If someone made a flare kit in the same black matte plastic used now, blending into the bumpers, it would be ideal. Otherwise you need to paint the arches AND the plasitc around the bumpers to match. Even if the parts were only $500 it would cost you another $500-$1000 to have everything prepped and painted (correctly).

Oh well, this is the nature of the MINI, and I have accepted it. There are still many wheels that look great on them.

Those wheels look awesome! They probably are heavy though, otherwise I'd be interested. I've got the Moss Motors fender flares, but have not installed them yet. Will wait awhile. You're right that their color does not match the black, as it's grey.

FYI -- In case you're interested, bowhunter8 installed the fender flares, maybe 6 months ago, and here's a link to that topic:

Then scroll down to thread titled, "fender flares" by bowhunter8

fender flares link-

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...=fender+flares

The yellow MINI looks great, but the wheels really don't utilize the width- She put on 25mm spacers- Instead you could do the Superlite wheels in a custom width and offset-
here's a 17" 3pc available in custom widths- an 8" or 8 1/2 in a 25 offset or higher would work great with the flares- (25mm=1inch)

Sorry about the big pic- But great lip there, right? tuck that under a fat flare and you'd really be cooking.

Those ASA's a sharp wheels (for a knock-off)

Alex, while you're looking up the weight, think you can find the offset as well?

THanks!
