Keeping White Wheels White
I think I ,may have stumbled onto something. A couple of months ago,I picked up a set of Team Dynamics Pro-Race 1's in white. Before I mounted the tires, I gave them a couple of coats of "Rejex". I soon found out that whatever dust stuck to the wheels came off easily with a DRY towel.
Then, a couple of weeks ago I was doing the detail thing and treated the tires with 303 Aerospace Protectant. Just for grins, I sprayed the wheels too, and gave them a good buff. Well, now the brake dust just does not stick to the wheels. And whatever funk does get on the wheels, it almost falls off at the sight of a towel. Well, not really, but it seems like it.

I use Quik Detailer on my wheels and a microfiber towel. The trick is daily maintenance--don't let the brake dust accumulate. Actually once you've done this for awhile, even a MF tower wet with water works great. Probably the best change I made was switching from the OEM pads to Mintex Red Box pads which dust less and is much finer. After driving several hundred miles in a day, my fronts are about as evenly coated as my rears--which look similar to what my rears used to look like with OEM pads. That is, the fronts used to be dark while the rears were just grey. Now with the Mintex pads front and back they are both grey by the end of the day.

Aftermarket brake pads
A local service manager who is held in high esteem told me that we should be careful with aftermarket pads. They tend to bite more or less than we are used to. He tells me that several people go back to the stock pads and just wax their white wheels and deal with it in order to restore the normal brake response or feel.

From what I understand EBC Green Stuff pads feel very different from OEM. My Mintex pads at first felt looser (spongier) than OEM, but now that they are bedded in, they grip well, and pedal feel isn't any worse or different than before. I like the Mintex pads a lot for 2 reasons:
1.) They dust less than OEM
2.) They cost less than OEM (I bought from Outmotoring.com)
