Anyone with CHROME wheels?

I have looked through a ton of threads and I can't seem to find anyone with Chrome wheels. I would think that because of all the Chrome parts on the Mini that somebody would rock the chrome.

I am looking at getting 17 or 18" chrome wheels in either a 5-spoke pattern or a mesh-type wheel, but I cant decide. With a Lip if I can. This is where you guys come in to give up suggestions or flame me for the thought of chrome. Any suggestions or pics would be extremely helpful.

I am picking up my MCS hopefully early next week. It arrived via Andes Highway on monday. Yeaaa!!!!! Leslie is on her way.

05 MCS
Hyper Blue
matching top and mirrors ( I am going to change to Chrome Mirror caps)
Matching HB interior w/ grey and black
Sport PKG
Cold Wether PKG
Premium PKG
LSD
Rear fog (just so I have all the switches) yea I am a nerd
Sport Link Bike Rack (mini fini)

Dinger,

I have a 2003 cooper (ps/b). I bought s-lites off ebay cuz I liked the look. When I took it in for a tire change the place scratched each wheel in the process. They claimed that taking off the runflats were the cause. Anyway, after some bitterness they offered to chrome the s-lites for free. I figured what the heck, but also knew I might not be happy with the chrome. I've had the chromed s-lites for about 6 months now and all that I get are compliments. I've had many people tell me that it's the best looking mini on the road. I also lowered and tinted, which I think adds to "the" look. I recently added the fancy chrome gas cover from minisport to match. All the feedback is positive. I'm sure you'll get a lot of anti-chrome replies (this is a common NAM thread), but I love my bling-bling. I'll try and post a pik soon.

Chrome = heavy

Try highly polished, forged aluminum wheels for the "chrome" look

I like the look of the polished centerlines you have. Nice! Do you have to polish them all the time or are they sealed? I race Bicycles and I know some guys who have polished frames, and it is a pain to keep it looking good unless it is clear-coated.

I just wipe them when i wash it, twice a week ...

I polished them 2 times so far when i had them off the car, took about 5 minutes per wheel, no big deal

I don't sweat it too much, they DO look nice most of the time

I've been searching for wheels like those, but no site I've ever seen, including centerline, has them listed in polished.

American Racing Chrome

I put some chrome American Racing wheels on (17 x 7's). They definately weigh more than stock, but I like them. Mounted them last winter and have loved them ever since!

It would take them less space to just say what the stupid wheels weigh instead of saying "extremely light-weight wheel!" and then not telling you.

I also wanted shinny chrome wheels. Before I got my mini I used to go the lot in the city in which I live on Sundays and look at the cars. I did this the Sunday before my car came in and for the first time saw to cars with shinny chrome wheels. I went all the way back home and got my camera. I went back to the lot and took pictures of the wheels and the next Monday took them to my dealer (in another city) and said this is what I want. Fortunately they had some there. They were not cheap though but I like them. My car came in Wednesday of that week and when I picked it up a few days later the wheels were on. I agree with all the chrome they match up well. ski

Forged? For $139? That doesn't add up... What is this "rotary forged" business, anyway?

I was pretty sure I wanted a 5 spoke design, but I am now having 2nd thoughts about a mesh wheel. Thanks for the pics.

I should be getting my baby early next week. I can't wait.

Wow, that would be cool having the tx-10s polished, but would you start with the silver finish? Or white, then take the paint off? It would be quite a process, but you would have the only set of them!

I have come across the ADR M-Classic in Chrome. I might just swing over the the mesh type wheel as opposed to the classic look of the 5 spoke. Decisions Decisions......

I just bought American Racing, I should get them next Tuesday, I picked the 5 Spokes Chrome Coils in 17x7", I hope they'll have the same lip as you've got, they look nice on your car, I have the chrome package on my black convertible so the chrome wheels should look nice, they sure look good on your car, I also ordered 215/45-17 GoodYear Eagle F1 GS-D3 from Tire Rack, I'm picking up the car next Friday and should have the wheels ready when I get back.

I really like that wheel on your car, I think it's one of my favorite and if you ever sell them, keep me in mind.
