Yoko ES 100 or Parada Spec-2?
I'm looking to finally ditch the Pirelli runflats in favor of some better rubber with a little more treadlife. I've heard some good things about the Yokohama ES 100 as a very good high performance tire. How does it compare to the Parada Spec-2 which also has some good reviews? I'm looking for a good performance tire for street driving with good treadwear.

Parada would (if rotated regularly) would be quieter and smoother.
Both are good choices. 20-25k with either.

The ES100 is a good value tire, well suited to the street.

SpecII's are decent street tires...ive used them in the past on one of
my previous cars. imho, ES100's SpecII's are about the same quality.

I'm running ES100's because they were already on the SSRs when I got them. I use them for autox and they're not bad. In the damp and wet, they're great. Very predictable. In the dry, they're optimum temperature is difficult to hold in the tire. They'll overheat with oversteer and stay hot but once stopped they cool very quickly. I'm finally below half tread and on the street they're noisy but still track very well.
I have Pirelli Nero M&S on my Integra GSR and greatly prefer them for the street to the ES100. The Nero handles nearly as well but is far better for comfort and predictability. Something to think about.

quieter and grip better at lower temps. ES100's have stiffer sidewall
and provide better turn-in response than the SpecII's, but it also causes
tramlining for some cars. Octaneguy was experiencing this over his
OE wheels and I also experienced this on my other car I had in the
past.
ES100's are noisy (like the RE730's and S03's) after about 1/2 worn...but
it's part of having a performance-type tire. Don't like it, might want try
some Falken ST115's...very silent tires (but according to minihune's post,
it shreads on the track).

I’ve used these for 3 sets now on my daily driver, auto-x and Dragon driving MCS. They seem to do it all for a fair price. What more could you ask for from a tire.
