Will it fit?????

I'm looking at some new rims, Motegi Trak Lite 2, forged, 14.5lbs
My questions is: can I fit these under my wheel wells. I'm lowered with H-Sport springs. I thinking of running 215/40-17.
The wheels are 17 x 8 with a +42 offset.

Will they fit without rubbing?

I think you will be close but still fit OK, maybe some minor rubbing when you have four people in your car or with uneven (not level) roads.

17x7" rims with +42mm offset and 215/45-17 tires and H-sport springs can rub a little.

Yours is same offset and suspension but one inch wider rims (might be close to rubbing on the inside suspension components or rubbing on the outer fender wells) and smaller outer diameter tires (this helps).

The other thing that might help is to have some negative camber front and rear which tips the tires inward a bit for some additional clearance.

You might try to call Alex@tirerack.com to check if he thinks there could be slight rubbing.

If it is any help I am running the same numbers as you , 17/8 with a 42 offsett Hamman wheel. I have had both 215/40 and 215/45 tires and have Leda coilovers. My ride height is a bit lower than H-Sport at this time. I have a slight rubbing issue with a full tank of gas or a hard bump in the canyons but nothing I really worry about.I have about 45k miles with this setup .

I prefer to think of it as a creative way to help with that nasty front end weight bias that the mini suffers from. Its ballast that makes noise

Thanks for all the responses. It's usually me and the wife and no passengers. I do have about 1.5 degrees of neg camber on the back but stock settings on front. I've narrowed my search down to these, SSR's or another set of Centerlines.

Clo, I guess I should think before I speak or write. I'm a guy what can I say??

Thanks!
Nyle
