Hehehe. non-car buddies are hilarious.
One of my friends looked at my Mini and said, "what's the difference between this and all the Mini Coopers I see with big VW logos on the back?"
I'm completely dumfounded. What was he talking about?
Trying to be diplomatic, I say, "well, I guess I've never seen a Mini with a VW badge on it."
To which he confidently replied, "well, every single one I've seen until now has had a VW logo on the back."
I just said, "hmm, that's strange." in that 'lets find a different topic of conversation' sort of tone.
In retrospect, I'm fairly sure that somehow he was confusing the VW New Beetle with my Mini Cooper Which is pretty sad, but what are you gonna do.

satay-ayam - hahaha!!!
Slap on a BMW logo on my Civic and people will start complimenting me
for the nice new Bimmer parked outside...
Back in like 96-97' there was a bodykit WingsWest made for the Tercel
called the "m-package" or something... a guy got that kit and slapped
on real BMW and M emblems and people were convinced they were
looking at a M-series car.
