Yeap, the TIS 03 is where it all started for me. I was working for the company who makes those wheels and was amazed that it would fit..

Someday, if I can get a deal on the tires I am going to do it.

What's it feel like on a pot-hole?

And is the just for looks, or does it make the car handle better. Seems an awful small sidewall.....

And you guys had me convinced that I didnt want bigger and shinier wheels. I think these look awesome. I know not many of you would agree, but this is definately my style. Hmmm....

from what i understand, the small sidewall doesn't allow for a very smooth ride at all. i would think if you hit a pothole with this car, you'd be in for a big repair/replacment bill.

and, jeff, hey, if it's your style, go for it! just know what you are getting into. every choice has it's advantages and disadvantages.

Remind me again, what is(are) the advantage(s)?

And hey, I'm a young feller, too. Maybe just not young enough to appreciate this er...ah... "style."

well, in jeff's case, it looks like the advantage would be the look. if someone chooses this look, they are often putting form over function. the car will not ride smooth or handle as well as if it had 17s and more rubber. just as i am putting the fun of driving my classic mini over the safety offered by, say, almost any other automobile.

again, the 20s not my cup of tea but as my great-grandfather used to say, with his eastern european accent, "that's vye stetson makes differents kinds hats."

Yeah, the only advantage here is indeed the bling. And diversity I guess. My 18's actually ride better than the stock 16" runflats though. Maybe I will settle on a 19' next time, and definately more chrome. Fortunately for me, theres too much traffic around here to notice much difference in ride, creeping down the highway at 10 mph.
