FULL Review: Bridgestone POTENZA RE750
Just thought i share my last 18,000 miles on the Bridgestone RE750 tires,
Size used was 215/45-17
I did about 20 autocross on them, almost all relatively slow and short
I did 5 track days, 4 2 hour sessions, the last one was a BMW club drivers training in the rain
finally, in total, a little over 30,000 km on them (a bit over 18,000 miles)
they are shot about now, a bit more tread, hopefully enough to last me to the end of the fall 2005 (got about 6 more autocross)
On the street, the tire is a bit harsh, overall, not much different than my old 16' runflats, they do give phenomenal grip in the dry, and when new, are pretty quiet, in the wet they break away pretty easily, but the breaking away is really progressive, so you know you are using all the grip you have
what amazed me was the grip i got at 0 degrees celcius! something i'd never do on another summer tire... but the 750 held!
as the mileage rolled on, tires got progressively louder and louder... but continued to perform...
personally, i'd do these tires again IF i only drove on slow autocrosses and street... they will serve you well, but if you plan to do anymore than 2-3 track days, i'd stay away, they chuck very quickily on the track, and about 5 trackdays for me they are gone...
Bridgestone RE750, i'd give a 7, i like it's grip, the name, and cold temp stability
i DID NOT like the lack of mileage i got out of them, the track performance, and noise
