i have been thinking of getting some 17" enkei rpm2 in hyper black

until i came across this thread saying that these wheels are soft. the guy was running them as 18" and on a heavier VW.. i see lots of mini's with the team dynamic pro race ones, how is the strength of those wheels? they are quite light? the enkei's are casted and heat treated and weigh around 16 lbs, im sure some forged wheels would be much stronger but i would like to keep my cost bellow $200 a wheel. i also like the look of the rpm2's.
any feedback would be much appreciated.

In the last week I have gone to the ends of the earth to get a pair of Enkei RPM2's (in 18x7.5) in hyper black, but Enkei has them back ordered for 4-6 weeks (but some vendors tell me it will probably be longer then that). Some of the online vendors might have 17's in stock, but if they have to get them from Enkei direct, it might take awhile. Doesn't really help you with any of your questions, but just givin ya a heads up.

 

Call Enkei up directly and ask them when they plan to have them in stock. Also, ask them who has the best deals. Sometimes it is better to work a great deal on wheels starting from the manufactor.
