18x8 Wheels on MCS
Hey all. I was wondering if there was anyone with 18x8 wheels on an MCS. I'm looking into the AXIS Supermesh which come in 18x8. I also want to drop my car at the same time, would like the m7 springs with the 1.3"
drop but will do the h-sports (~1" drop) if it means no rubbing. What do you think. Will 18x8 rub of dropped? I personally don't think I'll have a problem but was wondering what you all think. Thanks.

The catalog didn't have any other specs other than 18x8 and 1-piece wheel and I didn't ask because I was in a rush to get home so it didn't occur to me at the time. (Not to mention the only thing that was going through my head was the picture of my car have 18s ) I'm going to call the same shop tomorrow to make sure they have them in 4x100 and get the offset. I'll post back tomorrow with the information.

I was going to put on my 18x8 JLine SDMRL2 on my MINI, but I decided to sell her...when, iono. (Hence the FS thread for my Brembos..the wheels will soon be FS too.)
If you are looking for mesh:
Anyways, there should be no issues rubbing if you went with the standard 215/35-18. I am running H&R sport springs, which I believe are lower than the M7 springs...correct me if I'm wrong.

you're probably going to rub a great deal on the back..
But you could go wider on the rear... there's a picture of a mini with a 17x9(i think) on the rear and looks killer. Not sure what he did with the rubbing problem.
*Correction.. it's 17x9 http://tinypic.com/35x1w

$$$$ cash $$$
U' can go 8.5 all around but if staggered is ur' thing, U' could go wider than 8.5 in rear- 9.5 or more- its all about who builds them. i've been savin' up for a total custom wheel build- so i know that some wheel builders will say no it cant be done but others will say go for it. its about the cash money U' see!!

What would be the widest possible tire for the 8" width? Would it be possible to get staggered wheels and go wider than 8" in the rear, say 8.5"?

...........aggressive...........
rollin' fenders on a mini isnt easy cuz the front is actually a bonnet but rears might work not sure? i've look at it b4 and have not figured it out- ill be getting my wheels 1st then will worry about how much to drop. know what i mean. -I'll b' working the body around the wheels-

I love the MINI with the 17x9 rears. I hadn't even seen the thread when i thought about going 18x8 front and 18x8.5 or 9 rear. But i have decided that because the front tires will wear too much and it'll be expensive to keep buying new tires all the time, i'm gonna go either 18x8 all around or 18x8.5 all around so i can rotate wheels. Oh and the wheels I want have a 2in lip all around .
