Wheel Selection

If you don't mind, which ever wheel you select, post a picture after the wheels are installed. I also have a PS/B S and am considerring the same wheels. I can't decide between silver or black.

Thanx, Bob

Why didn't you go with the +40 and get a little wider stance? Do you have any pics?
I went with the 16x7 et40 and am running T1Rs at 205/45-16. The wheels don't look narrow to me.

Will do. I'm planning on having them on--whatever they are--next month.

Do you have pics? I'd like to see the +40's on the car. Also, what kind of suspension are you running, and do you have a BBK?

Yeah, I've never been into the BMW M3 e36 look...now e46, that's a different story. I've just always liked the wheels flush with the corners. Functionally, it seems more stable and in my opinion it just looks better. (visions of a mkIV GTi with 18" BBS LM's at each corner comes to mind...)

Not the best pictures in the world. I will be installing the H-Sport springs next month and adding a BBK.

A friend of mine is running the same setup and is running the Willwood BBK without having to use any spacers. Currently, there is probably a tad less than an inch clearance between the back of the spokes and the calipers.

Wow, those look really good. They'll look even better when you get the H-Sports on. I think the +40 really makes a difference in looks over the +45. Thanks for posting the pics.

On your car or your friend's with the BBK?

This is the info I got back from a Rota dealer:
SLIPSTREAM 16 x 6.5 +45 4X100 56.1mm
SLIPSTREAM 16 x 7.0 +45 4X100 67.1mm
SLIPSTREAM 16 x 7.0 +40 4X100 67.1mm

Seems the correct bore is only available in the 6.5" wide wheel through this dealer. Where did you guys the 56.1mm hub bore in a 7" wide wheel? This guy says that Rota doesn't have that size available.

I'm selling my wheels and tires if you're interested. They are 17's though, so If you're interested lemme know. asking for $1000 ( I paid $1500)
Rims are flawless (no scrathes or bends) and Tires are 215/45/17 Yokohama AVS sport tires. I've only put about 4000 miles on them, so they're in brand new condition.

PS: The car is up for sale too if anyone is interested. asking for 22K

I found several websites that have the 16x7 et45 with the 56.1 hub. Call Larry at Wheel Dude/Suby Dude.

Beauty of a car. The rims look great, but I really want 16". I'm sure you'll have no trouble selling those, though. Great price with the AVS.

I went on subydude.com and found them in +45, but they are about $100 more expensive for the set than the place near here. I'm going to email the guy back and see if there are other sizes available for special order or something.

Hi, I just put 5Zigen and 215/45/17 Hankook Ventus RS2 on mi Mini and they're rubbing on the rear fender flares under hard cornering. Any problems like that with yours?
