How bad to drive on a bent rim?

Well my 15" BBS were mounted and balanced, but one rim has a slight bend.. probably when they towed my previous car the rims origionally were on..

I have the rim on the back, and the vibration is only from about 70mph and up. How bad is it to drive with a vibration?

I really don't want to go back to the 16's and run-flats after seeing how nice the 205/50/15 SO3s are

It is not a bad thing. Where is the bend in the wheel?? Can you the bend on a balance machine(it will hop up and down a little) ..

I would recommend getting the single wheel repaired.

wheel bearing might go bad.

I would just get that fixed and remounted or just buy a replacement.

Another way to evaluate the issue:

Cost to replace the wheel bearing vs. Cost to replace/repair the bent wheel

I think you will find the wheel bearing replacement (you will probably need to do a 4 wheel alignment as well) costs more than replacing/repairing the wheel.

Driving on a bent rim will eat up your wheel bearings in no time. I had a bent Momo and I couldn't afford the $350 back in University. It ate up the bearing and that was a lot more expensive.

It kinda loosened the rear susp. on the car from there on out. Get the rim fixed or replaced and don't drive fast in the meantime.

It's not going to kill the car, but it ain't worth it.

Thanks All

Looks like I'll be taking it over to RimPro... I'm pretty sure it's just 1 rim that's bent so should be short money. The other option was a set of slipstreams but I really like the look of the BBS basketweaves better
