S-lyte wheel offset is +48mm.
A wheel of the same 17x7" width and +45mm offset would move the wheel slightly away from the center of the car.
As wheel offset approaches smaller numbers and if the MINI has a lowered suspension then there is risk that the outer edge of the tire will rub the inner rear wheel well plastic.
For a MINI with stock suspension, wheels of +37 to +50mm offsets will usually not rub. For a MINI with a lowered suspension, wheels of about +42 to +50mm offsets will be OK but it may vary with the type of springs you install and the outer tire diameter used (smaller than stock sized tires will tend to rub less or not at all).
