i love both of the choices you have. I'd prefer the HRE's though

Sorry but I think the 19s look silly on the Mini, out of proportion. The Hamanns look better IMHO

Isnt' that the whole purpose of putting 19"s?
They look HUGE and I'd be more worried about denting a wheel with those rubber band tires.

I dunno  I'm just giving my .02. For me 19s look good on an E46 M3 or a car with as much or more visual mass - its about the balance with the car and wheelwell (and of course depends on the style of the wheel, some wheels can look bigger/smaller). When wheels get super big in proportion with the car I kinda get the impression that its trying too hard and trendy for the sake of it and overshadows the car instead of complimeting it. I've always felt that way though, and for me personally the performance issues are important too.

btw, is that the cleanest garage floor you've ever seen? Geez, the floors in my house aren't that clean, even after cleaning them! WTF (I'm Australian, so I'm allowed to say that, you know.)

Nice cars, nice garage...

cheers,

Hamann or HRE's, hmmmmm

Guess I would have to ask what you do for a living and are they hiring? Both of these are way out of my price range but if I was dreaming I'd go w/ the HRE's.

I also agree that the 19" wheels look out of proportion in comparison to the MINI. 18" are also a bit excessive in my opinion.

I would get a 17" version of the HRE wheels. That would be perfect.

Between the two we're talking a whole inch of difference.

If you're gonna spend money, go "unique." The black wheel is just too over done anymore and "tree-fingers" or "you-vees" (as the GF calls them) are too common IMO as well. Yeah, they're HREs but they only stand out to those who know. In black, they stand out less even if an inch bigger.

I like the Hammans. You don't see many dished wheels on the road. At the shows, but not on the road - and you've probably figured out why.

thanks everyone i really appreciate everyones comments. the hamann wheels are great wheels specially the 18s. real split piece but i have decided to change to stoptech or brembo brakes and they wont clear. the jcw brakes was actually a waste of money(sorry thats my personal opinion). I decided to order custom wheels and decided to try to make it different since i had to wait 4 weeks for it. for me as long as it makes you feel good its worth it as what everyone says "you wont know till you try it " out of all my cars i enjoy my mini the best. Im a proud mini owner:smile:

Glad you mentioned the brakes as they look so tiny inside those 19" wheels!

I really like the look of the black/polished lip on the HRE's. That actually is what I am considering on my yet to be delivered Red/White MCS, so I'm glad to see those pics. Like a dingbat, I didn't order any upgraded wheel with the sport pack and now they say I can't make the change. My budget dictates ASA wheels same black with polished lip. I have them on my black 528iT so it'd be fun to match.

My 2cents... smaller size or bigger brakes. Either one is a great look though.

whats offset on HRE's?
how heavy r the HRE's compared to the HAMANN's

The Hamann's all the way....In my humble opinion...they are my favourite mini wheels....

The black rim thing hasn't caught on here in Australia yet either for some reason...

I know from prior threads the hamanns weigh a lot. Regardless of weight, I prefer the style of the HREs. Could I see some pics of the Porsche? I see some nice BBS webs on that.
