Non factory pads vs brake sensor

I note that many brands of brake pads for MINI, other than OEM, note "no sensor hole"

When using these pads I assume one just removes the sensor wire with no ill effect other than loss of the sensor function - that is, no warning light etc.

My appol' in advance if I was unsuccessful in error finding this ? via search

Ne effect assuming the sensor hasn't already been tripped. In which case you'll need to install a new one before tying it out of the way.
