Where to buy 4mm spacers?

I've been able to find 3mm spacers and 5mm spacers, but can't find 4mm spacers. Anyone know where I can pick up a set?

I had custom 3/16 thick wheel spacers with 56.13 to 73 mm hub centric rings built into one solid piece, they are very nice and they were only $42.00 a piece!!

Why do you want spacers. They are dangerous, and unless hub-centric mess up your ride.

A lot of people say that they are dangerous because it is an extra piece of metal between the wheel and the hub. I had hubcentric spacer on my old 325, custom made and i didnt like the feel of them at all. Why do you want some. Are you rubbing?

Actually, I already have 10mm hubcentric spacers to fit my Stoptechs. I really only need 4mm spacers to clear the brake kit, but they wouldn't be hubcentric. From what I've heard, spacers that are 5mm and under still allow some contact between the wheel and the hub, minimizing problems.

schooner2, I like that idea, and the price sounds right also. My current hubcentric rings are plastic, and I want to change that; and I wouldn't mind a slight spacer as well, all in one. Please share where and how you got this done! Thanks.

Spacers, especially when they go out too far, stress wheel bearings. I've read a fair amount on this recently, including some PMs...

I have a +42 offset wheel, and I recall some reasoning to where the addition of spacers is fine so long as an effective offset of +35 is not surpased. So, with that logic, I'd be able to go out 7mm max. I'm contemplating 5 or 6 up front, and 3 or 4 in the rear...

EDIT/ADD - If I understood correctly, our stock MINI wheels range in offset from +35 to +52. Spacing-out to +35 would be "safe" in that MINI thought it was ok...

I'm using the spacers on the street - hoping to get a set of Team Dynamics Pro Race 1s for the track. They fit my StopTechs with no spacers.

joker, do a search here, and on MINI2 to get plenty of discussion, and opinions on spacers...

I want a wider stance, not so much for appearance or bling, but for better stability in sweepers. I've heard that these help in that regard, namely by going wider in the front, as compared to the back.

I'm definitely interested in spacers that also include the hubcentric rings, so please do share. The quality of material (light and strong) and craftsmanship are of high importance for something like this of course. Such details would be nice to know... Thanks.

Yeah, I would do front only. Relating to this topic, does anyone know the outer diameter of the hub centering rings on 17x7 OZ Superleggeras? I can't find it on their site.

The John Cooper Challenge race cars use these in the UK. (7mm and 9mm)

I would suggest converting to stud if you are going to use a spacer. Not that you have to, but at least you have visual indications of how many threads are left.

My first choice will always be not to use them but if you have fitment or brake clearance issues, you should be ok.

With a quality spacer, you should not have any problems on the track as long as the offset is within specs.

Reading my mind J! Turner shipped 16 75mm studs to me today . That, along with some open nuts, eye-balling the threads, and having easy access to the allen are achieved.

I need some spacers now, and I really dig the idea mentioned here. schooner2 and joker, as you learn more, please share. Thanks.

I already have a stud kit on my car. Mostly, I am interested in smaller spacers as I just have too much width on the front right now. The +37mm offset Superleggeras + 10mm spacers makes an overall offset of +27mm. My car is exhibiting a LOT more torque steer since I have had this setup installed. Thus, I would like 4mm spacers.

Joker, keep us informed - I would be very interested!

I need wheel spacers to clear my wilwood brakes and i didnt like the idea of a wheel spacer and a seperate hub ring, by having a wheel space it didnt leave much room for the hub ring to ingage the hub stud so I had it built as one piece, I fell its much safer and i dont feel any diffrence in how the car handles or the wheel shake so I am very happy with my spacer, I just found a shop that had a cnc machine and sent them a drawing of what I wanted and he told me how much, i thought it was very resonably price for just two spacer. Doug at Whelen machine was going to make them for me for 65 a piece but became so busy he couldnt so I found a local shop to do it!! if anyone is interested i would be happy to give you the guy name and number for quotes!! just pm me!! : )

schooner2: it would be great if you could post pictures.

Tony B: These are 75mm from Turner. I tack-welded them at the back, but for some reason a few came loose. Will have to fix before next season.

Interesting that they came lose after a tack-weld... I've heard that red loctite is adequate.

you could get a 3mm and buy one of those thin discs that prevent your wheels from getting stuck to the hub(called wheel mate or something). looked about 1mm thick.
