filthy rear window

I put a set of Bridgestone Blizzaks on my MCS convertible 3 wks ago. These rear tires throw up every particle of dirt onto my rear window & trunk lid. I have to clean the window twice a day. I know there is nothing I can do about until march when I swap the wheels I am curious to know if anyone else has noticed this.

Deeper treads, more room for crap between em = more crap on boot.

BTW, is your NAM name a Batman reference?

Frank, I think it's a MINI thing, not a tire thing. My Dunlop all-seasons do the same. Rear mudflaps for an MCS would be a big seller.

I gotta point out that set theory says you "agree". All MINIs are hatchbacks. It is a hatchback thing (I agree), therefore since MINIs are hatchbacks it must also be a MINI thing. If we're going to be pedants, let's be fully pedantic.

True., However, I think many ppl tend to look at their MINIs as some kind of lower deities in the automotive world and hence, grant them some kind of special sphere or influence not bestowed on mere automobiles.

All MINIs, all the time. Deep grooves, no grooves, the hatch/boot sucks up (no pun intended) dirt like a vacuum cleaner.

The 03 Mini hatchback is driven in the winter and our 05 Mini convertible summer hatchback is parked in the winter in the garage next to the Mini shrine of worship. We tried rear mudflaps on the 03 last winter but not noticeably better and didnt look good with the 215-18,s in the summer.

this happens to any car that has a vertical, or near vertical, rear window at the end of the car. Includes MINIs, minivans, station wagons, etc.
