Looking for new tires....
OK I have spent the last few hours looking at tires on tirerack and other various sites. I know what I want out of the tires but don't know which tires meet those requirements. Thought this might be a nice place to figure out what I should be pointing toward.
I am looking for a very good dry traction tire with some excellent cornering ability (no outside edge shredding like my runflats), wet traction should be good because its my daily driver and winter conditions are null since i live in TN. Not really sure which tires are better brand wise or anythign so input reguarding this would be nice. Oh yea and tread life is always good!

You'll get tons of different responses to this question, I'm sure, but my first switch from the stock run flats was to a set of BFGoodrich g-Force Sports. Quite affordable, decent ratings all around for the money, and they were a marked improvement over stock. I've put about 2,500 miles on them so far, and I drive them pretty hard sometimes... tread wear looks great, there's less road noise, lateral grip is MUCH better, wet performance is good.
Most summer tires you go to from stock runflats will give you a boost in tire-related performance, so I'm sure you'll get other recommendations from other users, but these tires have served me well thus far.

I like my Yoko ES100's for the price and performance. They last me about the same as the runflats. 22,000 miles before I started feeling it was time for them to go. They do very well on the street, dry or wet and my first set that lasted me 22,000 miles had a hard days driving at Phil Wicks in Nashville. I had a set ordered and delivered before my 06 hit the US shores.

i've been through two sets of the yoko avs es 100's. they are good but, that tread design doesn't recover from track days well. that tread design just seems to busy. i'm going to need a new set with in a month so i'm going to try out the Avon tech M500's. they are the same price at the yoko's and look to be similar on the tirerack comparison chart maybe even a little better. these tires will not make it to the track unless it's really really rainy.

new tire 06 MCS
Hey Josh. I am on Perrill P zero's 205/45/17. Excellent with proper roation you should see 20,000 out of htese tirers. Run 33 PSi all the way around. I wanted to go wide. But didnt want to go to a 35 series tire. thatr would of created morte gap between tire and fender. I still wanted the same clearance and stance.
I took off the runlfats there were the eurofuria.
I am very happy with these. I drive througth the canyons here in socal
they handle great! Car sticks.

ive now ran through 2 summer tires on my MCS
first i had the dunlop all seasons standard on the MCS, i felt they were junk in the rain, the dry they were okay, but ride like the way mine does now with koni, eibachs.... i give this tire a 70
Bridgestone RE750 in 215/45: they were great tires on the street, autocross, and very good in the rain, but once you get on the track they start to fall apart, and wear qucikily... i ran through about 16,000miles on them, with 6 2 hr trackdays in between... overall, they are quiet, and wears well on the street, but once you get them on the track they start to gummy up, even with heat though they are manageable, very grippy even at about 0 degrees which was to my suprise (last spring we had a few days of 0 after i put my summers on)
i give this tire a 80
i now run on Kumho ECSTA SPT in 215/45: overall, so far my impresions are good, in the rain it doesn't quite have hte grip of the RE750, but the dry grip is excellent, nice and controlled and plenty of warning, they also seems to be a bit nosier than the RE750s.... so far i've ran them for about 5000km, so nothing too hard yet...
hope this helped
