Steering wheel vibration under braking.
I have recently noticed that I am getting a slight steering wheel vibration while braking. About 3 weeks ago I was told by the dealer that I still had 4mm left on the front and 5mm on the rear brakes. My question is:
Is the steering wheel vibrating because the pads are almost gone, or are the rotors warped by some chance? The vibration is not severe, but it is noticable.

Vibration
If you are using your pads pretty hard, you might have experienced pad deposition.

You might try bedding in the pads again. Or when you have the pads replaced, you might look into new rotors.

As this link suggests, warped rotors are pretty much a myth. To avoid pad deposition, don't sit there with the brakes on after spirited motoring, autocrossing, or track sessions. I'm very careful to back my car into the paddock or my spot in the pits after a track session or autocross heat using the brakes as little as possible, roll to a stop and then turn off the motor with it in gear and NOT set the parking brake...
