The Implied Cost of downsizing a Tire

I just replaced the 195/55-16 Dunlop run flats with the B.F. Goodrich 205/50-16 g-Force sport tires. The difference in diameter (according to the manufacturer of each brand) is 24.4 inch for Dunlop run flats to 24.1 inch for the B.F. Goodrich.

My 05 Mini-S has better acceleration of the line, has lost the heavy felling in the steering, and has a very noticeable improvement in ride quality.

Total cost installed from Discount Tire was $450 minus $200 from the sale of the run-flats. If you are on-the-fence about getting rid of the run-flats……do it.
