Well, i'd like to go for a set of 16x7.5 in the charcoal gray color (or antracite with polished lip), but it looks like everyone switched out to 8" wide instead. It still disturbs me that the 8" rim/tire combo 'may not' fit...or am I reading everything wrong and they will fit on a fully stock Cooper S??

Obviously I am still confused

 

I am interested in 16X7.5 with a 40mm ET
In any of the following colors:
Steel Grey with polished lip,
Full polish Steel Grey,
or anything with a polished lip.

If there is a buy as above I am in.

 

No one has posted about any fitment problems with the 15 x 7.5 Slipstreams. Is it safe to assume these will bolt right on to an MCS with stock suspension?

 

I put a call in to 18racing and got no response. If the offset is 40 and the hub is 56.1, they will fit perfectly. If I can't get these (the 7.5), I'm going to buy the 7in from them.

I was told that the 15x7.5's would not be in until July. They generally return calls, so, I'd either call back or email them at jessica@18racing.com

As far as fitment, I don't see any issues with a stock MC or MCS.

 

I've called a bunch of times, left messages and emails - nothing in return.

Did this group buy flop a while ago? No one is replying so i'll assume it is dead and over??

 

The buy is still on, but, its been delayed until September on shipment, so, if anyone wants in between now and then, its still a go

 

Since interest in the 16x8 never materialized, tell me about the 16x7.5s. Is the group buy based on a single color - flat black? What offset did you settle on?

I finally got in touch with jessica and decided to get the 15x7 instead of waiting for the 15x7.5. Should be here today.

The 18racing website already lists the 16x8 slipstream with 4x100 bolt holes and 56.1 hub as a standard wheel. They are yours for $550 shipped, pick the color!

 

1 - that's with a 48mm offset - the point of the group buy was to end up with a custom fit including offset so spacers wouldn't be required - this is the kind of issue that's easy to deal with though - I'm guessing a 5mm spacer would do it

2 - go back to their Slipstream page - scroll down to the bottom and click on "check inventory" - you'll have to hunt but you'll eventually find them - the 4x100s are shown only in "RGM" though - I assume that means royal gunmetal?

 

The 15/7's come in the 40mm offset.
