BBS-RGF with H Sport Springs

Hi All,

I just picked up a set of 16 inch BBS (+35 offset) wheels with Yoko AVS100s (205-50-16s). It was mentioned to me that the wheels may rub slightly. This may be more so as I am on H Sport springs...

Is there any way I can avoid this? If there is what can I do?!

Thanks,
Robin.

Have asked this before and still don't have clear answer. I love these wheels and would spend the money for the 16s, and I have no intention of lowering my car ('06 MC). However, I know intuitively and from other threads here that too aggressive an offset is hard on the old wheel bearings. If I'm gonna spend the $$$$ to buy BBS, I don't want it to be an overall negative - On an unlowered Mini, is the 35mm offset OK as far as any damage to bearings or other susp. components? Alex?? Minehune?? Bueller??

Being hubcentric with proper bolt engaguemt - I dont think you'll see premature bearing wear based on a 2 mm change from my recomendations.
Scuderamini has the right idea on the solution.

Has anyone got any pictures of some 16" RG-F's on a lowered MCS?

I lowered mine with KW competition coilovers, is a lot lower then springs. I need to take the inner fender out (plastic piece) and trim it down a bit. I brought a set of 205/55/16 A048 before, but it was too wide for my rear fenders. So I switched them with 195/55/16 instead. But comparing with stock's 205/45/17, the 195/55/16-A048 is wider... I guess is because is R-tires. Just my opinion thou. Hope that helps!

If the rg-fs are et35 then I believe you will need fender modification. I hear it's quick and easy, and that Alex of the tirerack can be of great assistance.

mb

btw - HCO624 - great wheel/lowering combo. How does it work on the track for you?

Thanks!
The A048 MH compound are great, and they held up extremely well. Highly recommended!!

Hi, sorry to bump, but I don't think this was answered clearly: what about the RG-F (et35) with the only modification to suspension being the addition of FSD? No rubbing? I understand FSD raises height marginally. Thanks!
