Rear brake piston retractor tool?

Retracting the rear brake caliper piston requires a special tool to rotate the piston. Where can I get this tool?

A good large C clamp works perfectly.

C clamp yes...just carefully use a cresent wrench to slowly turn the piston in the proper direction as you compress it

They're on sale right now at Harbor Freight... do know that none of the adapters work quite right - so you may find that you have to relocate pins on one of them to make it work.

What's wrong with a C-clamp?

Nothing ! But I am past the stage of just making do with whatever might work. I have learned to get the right tool for the job and then everything goes much easier for me.

You don't need to use any of the adapters for the rears--the prongs on the tool itself work.

Amen! I helped a friend do a set of rears with a c-clamp and have since gotten the tool. At only $20, you can't lose.

What's wrong with a C clamp? The rears need to be compressed AND rotated at the same time. The proper tool for the job (esp. when it's only $20) make things much easier.

This topic has been discussed a million times, but once again, a C-clamp will in fact turn the piston while pushing it in. To me, it's easier to use and I've been in a situation at the track where that tool would not work due to the piston being to far out. My C-clamp worked perfectly.
The tool is fine, but a C-clamp is just as good, if not better in certain situations.
