Do I have to recalibrate anything???

I have a 2004 MC with 15" Holeys and am wanting to buy some summer wheels and tires for it. I have been looking on the Tire Rack website for different options. What do I have to do to put 16 or 17" wheels on my ride? Thanks for any input.

All you need to do is select the tires and wheels you prefer that are sized to fit your car. Tire Rack is set up to help you pick the proper size and offset wheels without any installation issues. Since the MINI comes fitted from the factory with wheels/tires from 15 to 18 inches, picking from the various combos in factory sizes ensures a proper fit with no suspension, ABS or fitment issues.

As for anything requiring recalibration after the new wheels, just look in a mirror.

I have been switching between 15" Holies and 16" X-lites for the past 4 years and have never had to calibrate or re-set anything, not even the low pressure warning system. Just be sure that all of the tire pressures are correct when you put them on the car. Also try to stay within the 3% size difference recommendations. There are threads covering this, also FAQ on MIMI2.com will give you a range of tire/wheel sizes that will work without correction.
