I've been browsing the Honda, and VW forums for used wheels (A lot more used wheels there) but recently I heard that Honda wheel hubs are different sizes than ours...
So my question is this...Wheels bought for which cars will also fit the MCS?
Honda hubs are also 56.1mm like the MINI but there may be brake interference issues so should be test-fitted. Mazda is out as it's 54.1mm, and while Nissan and VW fit, their hubs are so large it will no longer be hubcentric.
I know of one Cooper that is running 15x7" first gen factory Honda CRX rims. They have the correct offset and require no centering rings. These rims also add a bunch of lbs to each corner. The owner told me that when the Honda rims are on the car gas milage goes down and the overall handling is off a bit due to the rim weight. The Honda rims do look good on his MINI and free up the stock MINI 15" rims for autocross tires. In talking we think the first two generations of CRX Civics had the same wheel specs but I can not sware to that. Look at a CRX board. I have also heard of MINI owners using steel Honda rims for winter wheels. I hope this helps some.
