Any specific instance or example. Its all sounding preaty "coded" to me. Is is a "taboo subject"?
Wheelmax F'd me over becouse of ______!! Was there Anthrax in the rims???
Reason I ask is because I am seriously considering one of their wheels. So If there is any foul play, I would like to know. Not just the general "dont buy Wheelmax" statement. What am I supposed to say "OK!" (finger in the nose) and thats it. If that statement was said, give a specific reason.
I know of 3 MINI's of Miami members who have bought from them without a problem.
The rims are great quality and look great. So in my opinion, "BUY Wheelmax!, Period!"

know what I mean?

The whole WheelMax bit came from some MINI owners (I think MegsMINI?) who has issues with getting the wrong rim/ everything not being shipped. Like someone posted above, do a search for wheelmax, and you'll get plenty of reasons why they have a bad reputation. I don't think it has to do just with MINI owners either. If I remember correctly, over on the Vdub forums, they weren't very reputable either.

MINI Works, you've got a good looking rim, but I think what is making this rim so desirable is that it's concave, and the spokes go completely to the edge of the rim. Had it not been for the lip/convex of the spokes, I would have gone with the Sportmesh.

Ok so the people over at MINI2 kicked my group buy post because they said that it was not a group buy that was authorized by them. LAME! I dont understand why they would not want to allow us to help them out. So it looks like this is going to depend on the members here at NAM only, unless others want to help me out and reach out to others.:impatient
Thanks

Hi,

I need some clarification on some issues...
1. Do they ship overseas?
2. How much are the local shipping charges (more specifically to Compton, California 90221)??
3. What is the shipping weight?
4. What is the 17" and 18" weight?
5. Is there a price difference for the two sizes?

Hi,

I will like to get the wheels in 18X7.5 inch with a offset that will be able to clear my upcoming STOPTECH BBK.
Do you think the manufacturer will be able to advise what offset will I need for the 18 inch wheel to clear these BBK?If so, I am INs for the order...

I have attached a link of the Stoptech BBK template for the manufacturer's
reference.

http://www.stoptech.com/tech_info/ch...38-2430-00.pdf

Cheers

Just for everyones info, The weights you will notice are throughout the thread, the offset can be made to whatever we like so it can clear any BBK. Additionally I think that you would like to take a look at the response that I got from VElocity. Man these guys really are wanting to make this happen and help the MINI community out.

Thanks for your email. Once the tooling is made, it will be made available to pop out more wheels in the future. However, because we don't focus on the Mini market, this probably won't happen until someone came along and wanted to do a GB. We are both limited by the initial startup cost and the quantity required to keep the cost down. What you can do is let me know how many people are potentially interested, and I can call a few of the Mini dealerships to see if they have any interest in carrying a few, to reduce the minimum so to speak.

So the more the merrier on the GB. Lets see if we can make this happen. If you need additional info regarding the wheels then take a look at them at www.modbargains.com or www.velocitymotoring.com
Thanks guys for your support on this.

Just curious will the wheels have a "flat" front or will they be concave like on the BMW which is the look I like and want?

I seriously doubt they will, considering the BMW has a lower offset (well, the rears do anyway) and much wider wheel.
