Stock feel?

Stock feel?

Will plain (not slotted or drilled) oem brembo replacement rotors and stock pads provide a stock "feel" or is it necessary to have stock rotors as well? Basically what I'm asking is how crucial a role do the stock rotors play in the stock brake "feel"? Can the same "feel" be realized using X-brand plain rotors (same size & quality) and the stock pads?

You should be fine using plain OEM brembo rotors and stock pads or even mintex redbox pads.

Some of the drilled and slotted fancy rotors can create more noise. Some brake pads are a bit firmer on hard braking.

I have slotted powerslot rotors and have used zimmerman cross drilled rotors and have not noticed any ill effects in brake feel as a result of the rotors.

By just replacing the rotors with brand x type such as Brembo you should have the same "stock feel". Brembo's oem replacements are just that, oem replacements.

Changing the rotors alone will have no impact on feel. Reality is that it won't really do much of anything...Changing pads will provide more bite, changing to SS hoses will get you improved 'feel'. Good pads, hoses and stock rotors even will net you ample performance for most street and light track use.
