Perfect! Thanks a lot I appreciate it... I really hope the funds allow me to get these wheels... If not all the research and input I've gotten would be worthless, well maybe not cause it could help others if they decide on going this route... But judging by other threads on NAM, I doubt many, if any, will be going this route...

[quote=02///MCS]misterdangerpants, thanks!

vento, onasled has a different view in mind. His MCS is purely a track car so his setup reflects that.

I can see that from his pic.

Guys, I just tried - agressive driving - a set of 225-45-17 (General Exclaim UHP) all around on my original lite wheels (MCS 03) with 5mm Eibach spacers; guess what, NO RUBBING, looks great and handles so much better than with the original run flats. WOW!!!!!!

No, the car is not lowered, and the suspension is stock.
I tried it with two people on the car (me and a passenger) and a space saver spare - just in case - on the back sit. No more RF's = YESSSSSS

Those are the tires I'm looking at because their inexpensive yet have good reviews on Tire Rack. How do you like them? Comfortable ride? Noise level? Good traction dry/wet?

Hard to tell yet, only 75 miles on them. But initially their grip, noise level, look and price are great! I'll try them "better" this long weekend :-)

Thanks for the kind words! ... Unfortunately, at this point it is not looking good. I was going to order the wheels first thing monday morning but I rear-ended some jackass that decided to slam the brakes last second on me. Was pretty close to him and couldn't stop in time. Nothing serious happened. But the guy wants his work done at Mitsubishi so I'm getting RAPED... I'll find out more info next week but I don't think I will be buying any wheels at all now...

Are the tires good for spirited driving? Do they grip well? I'm still getting new tires cause mine are bald...

Just as feedback, the the Exclaim 225x45x17 work great! 1000 miles and NO RUBBING at all, better grip, the car is not "so touchy" any more in addition to be lots smoother than with the RF. Shame on my I waited to long...
