Wheel choices with WILWOOD brakes

I finally got around to installing the 11.75" Wilwood brake kit I got from TCE at AMVIV. The kit is sweet! Braking is much improved. Under hard braking the seatbelt now gives the passenger 'hampster' eyes! Thanks Todd.

To mount the kit I had to use spacers with my stock s-lites which is something I don't want to do. (Quality spacers I ordered directly from JCW) I am looking for 17" wheels that will fit with this brake kit without spacers. Please show me your wheels along with an estimated price and vendor. I'm open to any/all suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

PS Should I keep the factory dust shields on? Seems to be rubbing on the drivers side only on right turns.

I like the Flik Bullet. Flat black should make the brake dust less noticable and go well with the black arches on the car (Chili red)

Anyone have these wheels? Mounted with Wilwoods? Pics?

you shouldnt have any issues mounting most 17s on the 11.75 brakes... im running 17' Rota subzero with 45mm offset and it clears it no problem on my 12.2 kit...

im also running enkei RPF1 replicas in 16'... unfortunately they JUST rubs it... put in a 3mm spacer and it clears in flying colors..

so your 17' Filk bullet should be no issues, and one last thing: black wheels maybe good for brake dust.. but try to avoid any rain.... as they will turn anthracite very quickily

I have the ASA AR-1 with the 11.75 race kit with the upgraded 12.2 rotors. No spacers and no rub. I also run the Kosei K1 racing wheel for the track... again no spacers and no rubbing.

Space requirements for the 11.75 and 12.2 kits can be had by clicking the part number of either kit off the Wilwood.com home site. This opens the pdf and the wheel fit template is shown on page three.

The TCE 13" kit clearance can be found on the TCE page under 'toolbox' / 'wheel fit' where you have data and instructions to check your proposed fit.

Not a problem in Vegas . We get more water damage from the hard water that comes from the occasional sprinkler that inevitably goes off when your parked someplace.

Jeff, I like the bullet wheel, would look sweet on your car.

At the Peru National Tour, Craig Wilcox tried my 15x7.5, +43 SSR's and 16x8, +42 ce28n's over his 11.75" Wilwoods and both fit, without spacers. The SSR's had about 1/4" of clearance to the spokes and a little over 1/8" to the high spot on the rim. The 16x8 ce28n's had huge clearances everywhere.
