Locking Wheel Nuts

Okay, this maybe a result of my excessive newness to the aftermarket wheels scene but...

Are wheel locks specific to the wheel? I didnt think they were but, when going around the tirerack site something happened which made me think they are, it only prompted the question on some wheels and it said "product related to wheels X"...

so the thing is i what to order my tires and locking wheels nuts from tire rack but my wheels from 18 Racing

sorry if this is a dumb question, but as kindergardner teachers say the only dumb question is the one you dont ask

McGard sells wheel locks for virtually every car OEM wheels and other wheel locks if you got the bolt size.

ah so they are bolt size specific then

so, if they fit one mini wheel they should fit all mini wheels, ie if they fit r90 or superleggeras they should fit rota slipstreams 4x100, did i interpert that correctlly?

thanks

A lock is simply like another lug bolt with a different head, so it has to match the size/shape of whatever lug bolt you are using. If your wheels use the OEM lug bolts, then you can also use the wheel locks from MINI. Some wheels cannot use the OEM lug bolts, then you would buy an extra set of lug bolts, and you would need matching locks.
