Wierd brake bleeding experience

I bled the brakes in the conventional way using two people, and everything worked normally except for the drivers side rear. At the drivers side rear no fluid would come out when the bleeder screw was opened, except for an initial spurt. Put it all back together and it drives fine, even with hard braking from higher speeds. I have bled brakes many times on other cars, and when bleeding brakes on the MINI the I kept the reservoir above the min line.

Have you experienced this? Do you know what causes (or fixes) it?

I would've just assumed the bleeder screw was plugged and removed it to check. If not cleanable I would replace it.
