Significant Weight Savings

I picked up my new MSC at the dealer yesterday. Last night, I swapped the S-Lites and Goodyear Eagle RS-A runflats (205/45 17") for Centerline Storm wheels with Falken Ziex 512 mpm-runflats (215/45 17"). I weighed both combinations with a bathroom scale, which might not have high accuracy, but should still provide accurate relative weights. The S-Lite/runflat combos weighed 48 pounds each while the Centerline/non-runflats weighed 36 pounds each, for a savings of 12 pounds (5.44 kilograms) at each corner.

I will post photos of the car with both sets of wheels in the near future.

This is exactly the weight savings I enjoyed when moving from SLites and RFs to my Kosei K1 and Falken RT615s. And they look and handle better as well...
Maybe we can start the "I lost 48lbs in 1 hour" club?

cheers,

Pls becareful with the Storm rims they Bend real real easy. I've run the first production set when the pre production name was Impulse which wiegh in at 11.75 lbs vs the production storm rim at 16. lbs.. i have bent , cracked and exploded a total of 7 rims. which included 3 of the production Storm rims. This is with pot holed filled city driving.
